Hi, Gaynor! Chuck and I am sipping our coffee this morning and thinking it's a good time to share our thoughts on our wedding:

Without a doubt, we both feel our wedding at Sunset Waters was the best decision we could have made. You and Julia helped us with each and every decision and were always available. You were patient and also had a good sense humor about the wedding planning madness. The wedding planning process was extremely easy for us because we knew we were in the best of hands.

Our time at Sunset Waters couldn't have been more perfect. We continue to hear from our friends and family about our wedding week and are often asked, "So, when do we all get to go back?" "We had the time of our lives" is a phrase we've heard a lot since the wedding! Our family and friends continue to rave about the friendly and responsive staff and how they felt so welcomed and comfortable. From being picked up at the airport with a chilled beverage and warm smile from the staff to the last breakfast on the shuttle back to the airport, the resort always provided 4-star personal service. The restaurant and pool bar services gave continuous responsive service at all hours -- and with party lovers like those in our family, it was perfect! Despite a very diverse group, everyone had a fantastic time. It was so special for us to see all our friends and family relaxing together, laughing, and enjoying the excellent food, delicious beverages, kayaking, snorkling, or just laying on the beach or by the pool. By the time our wedding day came around, everyone knew each other and had great memories to share.

One thing we'll remember forever is how relaxed we both felt on our wedding day because we knew, with full confidence, that the staff at Sunset Waters would make the day perfect for us. In fact, it felt like many of the staff were just as much a part of the wedding as the guests -- with smiling faces and excitement in their eyes. And, as expected, Sunset Waters staff did an excellent job with the wedding ceremony. It was everything we could have wanted and exactly what we had envisioned 5,000 miles away in Tucson! The decorations, flowers, and set up were beautiful. The minister, bands, and DJ gave us both a special ceremony and an entertaining reception. The Sunset Waters beach with red accent decorations gave the perfect wedding setting, and the champagne reception on the beach following the wedding was a special touch that started our first moments of marriage on a beautiful and fun note. Our wedding reception was also lovely. The wedding planners organized everything for us -- and the atmosphere was spectacular. It was intimate, romantic, and festive all at the same time. Our wedding dinner was perfectly prepared and served.

Notably, the restaurant service throughout our stay was outstanding. The restaurant served delicious food and was extemely flexible with its hours and menu. Having such a diverse group, with many younger children, the restaurant graciously accommodated everyone! Our family couldn't stop talking about the food and excellent service. One particularly special memory is that our friends hosted a romantic dinner for us on the beach. The restaurant manager offered to make us any meal we wanted and allowed us to plan the entire meal ourselves. When we arrived on the beach for our meal, we were amazed at the care that went into planning it. The table was set up beautifully with lovely flowers, candles, and was circled by tiki torches. The staff even manged to arrange for romantic music and chilled wine to greet us. What touched us the most, however, was that the staff took the time to prepare a specially designed menu that included our names, the date, and our entree selections. We kept the menu as a reminder of the special moment.

Having both traveled to chain resorts, we cannot emphasize enough the value of service from a well run, local resort. The personal and considerate service we received at Sunset Waters is something we would never have received at a chain resort. Everyone at Sunset Waters, from the cleaning service to the general manager, truly made us feel like our happiness mattered. We feel very blessed to have heard of Sunset Waters, and we would recommend it with our highest regards.

"My husband and I were married on Feb 4, 2006 in a beautiful beach wedding. Everything was perfect! The ceremony, food, and staff. The whole week we were made to feel special. The staff treated us like royalty all week and went out of their way to make our stay great! Jim and Gaynor did a great job making it a week to remember! We can't wait to go back!"

"Simply put; our wedding at Sunset Waters last December was perfect. It exceeded our hopes and expectations in every way. The ceremony on the beautiful beach, timed just before sunset, was incredibly romantic. The tropical decorations on the beach and in the restaurant were original and ideal for the occasion. The best part for us was the manner in which Gaynor and the staff made all the arrangements, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We trusted their tastes and experience, and we could not have been happier. All aspects of the evening were well thought out and went smoothly. The food was delicious, and the hotel staff was courteous and attentive. Our friends and family loved the accommodations. Now we love showing the photos of our island wedding to our friends in colder climates."

"Our wedding at Sunset Waters Beach Resort on 23 October 2005 was perfect! From the time we arrived, everyone made us and our 24 guests feel like our Wedding was the most important event of the week. The champagne and flowers in our room the day we arrived set the tone for what was to be a wonderful week. The entire staff happily got involved in the planning of all the events leading up to our Special Day. Everything was beautifully decorated, including the tiki torches and shells leading to the Gazebo. The Managers, Jim and Gaynor, and their Star Staff helped us with our marriage documents, the flowers (which were absolutely beautiful), the music (which was delightful), and choosing a special menu for the Wedding dinner (which was excellent).

The sunset cruise the day our guests arrived was a wonderful beginning of what was supposed to be a long weekend for them. As it turned out, Hurricane Wilma hit Miami the day they were supposed to leave and many of our guests were unable to leave Paradise for an extra three days. Again, the Staff stepped up to the plate and made sure everyone could stay at the Resort and were well taken care of. Everyone enjoyed the food, the entertainment, the drinks on the beach and the snorkeling and diving.

We would highly recommend Sunset Waters for a wedding site. We looked at several other resorts, including a couple of large well known hotels in Key West. We didn't want to be one of two or more weddings on the same day. We were looking for a more intimate and private ceremony. Because Sunset Waters is a relatively small and remote resort, we got the personalized and dedicated attention we were looking for.
